Blog — 1986 Topps

Vincent Edward "Bo" Jackson was named the Greatest Athlete of All Time by ESPN.  Bo was everywhere in the 1980's and just as popular as Michael Jordan.  With this card design I wanted to mix his 1986 Topps Traded Baseball Rookie card and his 1988 Topps Football Rookie card.  The card features the 86 Topps baseball design with the Raiders on top and Bo in his Raiders uniform.  The back incorporates the same design and fonts as the original card along with his career stats.

On Seinfeld Night at Citi Field, Jerry Seinfeld fires a side arm strike in his ceremonial first pitch on July 5, 2019.  We wanted to capture that moment and what better way to do it is on the iconic 1986 Topps style card 33 years later also the same year the Mets won the World Series against the Boston Red Sox.  What a year for New York.  

The front of the card features Jerry throwing out the first pitch while the back has some interesting information about Jerry's love for the Mets and a special cameo by Keith Hernandez on the show Seinfeld.
