Vincent Edward "Bo" Jackson was named the Greatest Athlete of All Time by ESPN. Bo was everywhere in the 1980's and just as popular as Michael Jordan. With this card design I wanted to mix his 1986 Topps Traded Baseball Rookie card and his 1988 Topps Football Rookie card. The card features the 86 Topps baseball design with the Raiders on top and Bo in his Raiders uniform. The back incorporates the same design and fonts as the original card along with his career stats.
Charlie Sheen played the iconic fictional Cleveland Indian Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn from one of the most beloved baseball movies of all time, Major League. The card is in the style of a 1989 Fleer baseball card. Ricky Vaughn is on the front in his Indians uniform. On the top right of the card, we thought it would be fun to replace the team logo with the Major League movie logo. The back of the card had fictional stats of Ricky along with a bio on how he went from the California Penal League to the Cleveland Indians.
If you were a kid in the 80's then you were probably obsessed with the WWF like myself and probably even more obsessed with Hulk Hogan. The Hulkster was wrestling and Hulkamania was a common household phrase. The original 1985 Topps Hulk Hogan card had the Champ holding his belt while my version has him wearing the belt and flexing. The back of the card is a recreation of the back of the original card.
The G.O.A.T., Michael Jordan's 1986 Fleer rookie card redesigned. Jordan's original Fleer rookie card is one of the most iconic basketball cards. Our version has MJ on the court with hands on his hips in the same color and style as the 1986 Fleer cards. The back of the card has his stats through the 1985-86 season.
Not only was Brewster's Millions one of my favorite baseball movies growing up, it was one of my favorite movies of all time so it was a no brainer making some custom cards of Monty Brewster played by the late Richard Pryor and Spike Nolan portrayed by the late John Candy. The movie was released in 1985 so what better way to pay homage to this great film than to put these characters on 1985 Topps style cards. I also wanted to put them both together on a card so I chose the 1985 Fleer Major League Prospects card.
